What will our Guests say?

Guests who show up at our church are going to walk away saying one of two things...

“I felt like a welcome guest”

-or-

“I felt like an unwelcome intruder”

Many guests haven't been to church in a long time or maybe even never before. Many of them are skeptical or afraid. Sometimes, they're just not sure what it's going to be like and how people are going to respond to them.

You are offering hope—the hope of Jesus Christ.

THE WIN: Our goal for the Sunday worship service is for the attendee to know God is FOR them and say, “I want to come back to Coffee Creek Church.”

Remember: We serve because we are FOR people!

Guest Services Tips:

  • Be early.

  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of every person.

  • Welcome all people by making eye contact and talking with them.

  • Walk someone to where they need to go. It shows that you value them.

  • Ensure the WIN drives everything you do when you serve.

Guest Services Team Roles


USHERS/GREETERS

  1. Stand outside the door.

  2. Before the service: Smile, greet, and open the door.

  3. During the service: Assist with pulling extra seats as needed and reset the auditorium.

  4. After the service: Open the door & invite them back next Sunday.

  5. Remember: Enthusiasm is contagious!

WELCOME CENTER/CAFE:

  1. People-focused.

  2. Donuts, coffee, and cleanliness.

  3. Help get families checked-in for the first time

  4. Secure EVERY First Time Guest’s INFO + give them A GIFT!
